The intensive use of mobile devices among adolescents has raised concerns regarding its psychological effects. This research aimed to confirm whether a relationship exists between addictive smartphone use and anxiety levels in secondary school students from the Northern Western Bolivian Mission. A quantitative approach was employed, within a positivist paradigm, using a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational design. The results revealed high anxiety levels in 161 students, with a predominance of female students and those in the sixth year of secondary education. Furthermore, the dimensions of indifference, tolerance, and disruption of smartphone use were particularly prominent in their relationship with anxiety. In conclusion, it was confirmed that there is a direct and statistically significant relationship between addictive smartphone use and the anxiety levels of these students
